Our History & Mission
Our History
In 2026, Dr. Dustin Henshaw founded Foundation Bible Institute after years of prayer and preparation. He assembled a board sharing his vision: a doctrinally sound, academically strong biblical education — affordable, and without requiring students to leave their local church.
Mission Statement
"The mission of Foundation Bible Institute is to equip students to impact the world with the Gospel through a biblically grounded education, a caring faculty, and a strong emphasis on evangelism, discipleship, missions, and the local church."
Doctrinal Statement
FBI holds firmly to these core beliefs as the foundation of all instruction.
The Trinity & Christ
One God in three persons. We affirm Christ's deity, virgin birth, sinless life, vicarious death, bodily resurrection, and ascension.
Salvation by Grace
Man is totally depraved. Salvation is a free gift by grace through faith — plus nothing, minus nothing. The saved are kept eternally by God.
Scripture & the Church
The Bible is inerrant and divinely inspired — the absolute authority for faith and practice. The local NT church carries out the Word of God.
Last Things
We believe in bodily resurrection, a literal heaven and hell, and the visible, personal, premillennial return of Jesus Christ.
Additional Doctrinal Positions
Church Ordinances
Two ordinances: Baptism (immersion of the saved believer) and the Lord's Supper (bread and grape juice as a memorial of Christ's death and expectation of His return).
Reformed Theology
FBI does not believe in Reformed Theology under any name. It will not be taught or promoted by any faculty member or student.
Satan & Judgment
We believe in the personality of Satan, his power and kingdom, his judgment at the cross, and his eternal destruction in hell.
Marriage
FBI believes that God intended marriage to be between a natural born male and a natural born female.
